How to open .tar file in Java.

 Hi friends, i have to open ".tar" file  in java.  but i dont know how. so can you please give any idea about  opening ".tar" file in java....

the guideline are like GZIP. Here is an example:

No. Tar is different from zip.

do you need more help about jakarta compress?
Surfing on
http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/sandbox/compress/
you can find even example. You can find it is similar to the Zip/Jar in JDK (the example I post before).
Instead of, for example:
ZipEntry
you must use:
TarEntry
...

the classes are in the file ant.jar of the common lib
