dw.openDocument Crashing Dreamweaver

Hi Guys,

I'm a newbie.

I have a strange and sporadic problem.

I'm creating a new document by doing the following:

1. Copying a template to the appropriate folder.
2. Opening the template as a document by using dw.openDocument.
3. Saving the document.

My problem is that every so often the operation of dw.openDocument crashes Dreamweaver (completely shuts it down).

Does anyone have any insight?
Or, does anyone have a better approach to opening a new document from a template.

I appreciate any help.

Thanks.

Solution?!

1) Check that you have the latest (7.01) version of DW.
2) Check for updates from Macormedia often.
3) Upgrade memory in computer (general ugly solution to get crashes less often...)

I cannot see any problem with your behaviour...
And even if - a sw stability should not depend on how a user wants to solve things.

BEST SUGGESTION: Don't tolerate crashes - contact Macromedia and tell them!

with a smile
