Under network settings of the LAN interface go to properties/advanced/window<wbr />s firewall settings/exceptions/Add port/. &nbsp;Then add a new name called FTP with TCP port 21. &nbsp;This will allow passive FTP which should be enough. &nbsp;If you want active FTP you will have to enable TCP port 21 as well.

I am trying to set up and FTP site with XP Pro SP2. The only clients that will FTP back and forth will be on the same private network.<br />

I have installed IIS and FTP on the box, but when I try to FTP to it I get the following:<br />

I think this may be a new securtity feature of SP2 I did enable the FTP portion to run through windows security.<br />
