When writting a message if Ctrl+Enter are pressed it automatically sends the email.  Is there any way to disable this shortcut.  I use this shortcut in other programs and am constantly sending out emails before I'm done typing them

Hi nebbles,

What is not clear to me is that when you are working on other programs and doing ctrl + Enter , does it work on Outlook aswell ..

If you have outlook window enabled , then this shortcut would work but otherwise It is not clear how it can work in outlook..

Also if this happens for some weied reason , make a typo in the outgoing mail server info so that the message wont go .

I'm sorry about being unclear.

I want to disable the shortcut or have outlook prompt me when I do use the shortcut.

Try this
if you enable word as default email editor in outlook , I donot think that shortcut would work. try and see
open outlook
go to tools --> options --> mail format --> and check
use microsoft word to edit email messages

click apply and OK
now press new to compose a new email and press ctrl + enter
