Webbrowser control with no images

Hi,
Has anyone been able to use this control:

http://www.mvps.org/emorcillo/vb6/inet/index.shtml

to load a webpage with no images.  I tried installing the type libraries and the webbrowser project and
can't get them to run.  I use vb 6 and currently use the standard webbrowser control but would like to be able to turn images off and on for particular pages during a browser session in my project.  I noticed all references seem to point to windows\system rather than windows\system32.  Whether I keep them that way or change them to point to the correct files I still can't get the project to load.  In the test project for form1 I get the following log:

Line 13: Class WBC.WebBrowser of control WebBrowser1 was not a loaded
control class.
Line 19: The property name _ExtentX in WebBrowser1 is invalid.
Line 20: The property name _ExtentY in WebBrowser1 is invalid.

The ocx appears not to be loaded, showing only a picturebox rather than the actual control and having nothing on the toolbox.  When I try to redo the reference to the component I get "Unexpected Error (32810)".  I noticed a posting on google groups saying the same error with the same control.  Thanks.

Did you download OLELIB.TLB and register is properly?  You can use this tool to register it:

Hi,
Thanks for the link.  I tried the type library utility and unregistered and re-registered version 1.81 of the library.  It still seems to give me the same error though when I try the sample project or try to draw the control on a form.  Anyone have any different experiences getting it to work?

If you open a new project and add the Microsoft Internet Controls component and try and draw it on a form do you still get an error?

Do you mean add Ednamo's webbrower control?  If so, yes, I get the same error.

Why You Should Analyze Threat Actor TTPs

After years of analyzing threat actor behavior, it’s become clear that at any given time there are specific tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) that are particularly prevalent. By analyzing and understanding these TTPs, you can dramatically enhance your security program.

I admit I haven't looked at his sample in a long while, but, he used to have it setup where you dropped a "regular" webbrowser on your form, and then used his type library to add all of these extra functionalities to it.  He has compiled his own control (with the webbrowser control embedded into it) now?

Yes, there's now a control that he compiled.  If anyone can figure out how to turn off imagies with either his type libraries in combination with the normal control or the webbrowser embedded control let me know.  Thanks.

I would try dropping him a line if you don't get any further support here.  I have written him in the past regarding his samples and he was usually quite prompt in his response.

Thanks.  I tried emailing him last week notifying him of the error that I got as well as the similar error that I found a user had on google groups with his component and he doesn't respond unfortunately.  Oh well.  It looked like a good solution if only it were still active.
