Most dot matrix printers work fine with the Generic/Text only drivers supplied with XP - unless you insist on doing graphics on the printe. The generic driver even lets you enter control characters to contorl pitch etc.

Have you tried that driver, and does it do what you want? If not, please tell us what's missing.
