I will run the Hijackthis.  But if I cannot get to the internet, I cannot download the upgrades for these Spy/Adware checkers.

I worked great to get IE working.   Thanks.  The only problem is that Now I keep getting an illegal operation error every time I open Norton Antivirus.   It is a "nmain"  fault.

first try a sfc scan !!
Description of the System File Checker Tool (Sfc.exe)
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;185836

If this fails then try uninstalling and reinstalling Norton !!
check if the problem goes away or not ??

syssolut,

Next time, please do not post HJT logs:

http://www.experts-exchange.com/Web/Browser_Issues/Q_21149514.html

You may want to test and use the online HJT log analyser:

Sorry, I did not know about the 2 questions.  I don't know how to delete one of them.   Also I am not sure about "refunding my points".  Am I to believe that I only have a certain amount of questions based on point total?
