Kylix 3 Installation locks up on Fedora Core 2

I have Kylix professional 3, the first time I tried to install it came with a dependency problem (libstdc++), so I installed the rpm, no problems... Now when I tried to install it again with all of the Install options selected, except for the PostgreSQL components the installation starts fine, then it locks up at the 'Running script' section.  It just sits at 0%.  I have tried running the 'setup.sh' shell script using the 'sh setup.sh -m' option, but it locks up at the same place.  Has anyone seen this problem before, as after searching the web I have found nothing.  Any assistance would be great.

This is for those of you that are having problems installing Kylix 3 Pro on Fedora Core 2:

Specifically the installation locking up during the 'Running script' phase after the Main program files have been installed.  The problem I was having was the above mentioned phase was sitting at 0% and going no further.

The Fix:

I installed the following 3 packages

- compat-glibc-6.2-2.1.3.2.i386.rpm -> this solves a bug which causes some applications to crash as stated on the redhat site, due to a backward compatibility issue with previous versions of the GNU libc library
- compat-libstdc++-7.3-2.96.126.i386.rpm
- compat-gcc-7.3-2.96.128.src.rpm

There was a couple of dependencies for 'compat-gcc', but they can be installed by using 'yum install [package_name]'

I still haven't figured out why the installation happens in text-mode on FC2 and in a GUI on Redhat 9.  I suspect it something to do with rpm, but I'm not sure.  Hope this helps....
