DVSocket not responding?

Several times when I close Win XP Pro, I get this message saying the application DVSocket was not responding and I press end to end the program manually. I've tried searching under applications and processes for this application but cannot find it. I found some other people on the internet have the same problem but no one has yet proposed a solution. Does anyone know what this program is and how I can get rid of it? I have also been experiencing problems with applications not removing themselves from memory when closed and thus having problems opening when restarting. I don't know if these problems are related. Thanks.

It seems to be palm and t2 related. Do you have a palm pilot and or any other pda?

can you post a hijackthis log?

Yeah, actually I have a Palm Tungsten E. It also has given me certain problems, like when I boot up the Hotsync Manager says it was unable to initialize my TCP/IP stack. The wording might have been a little different, I will writei it down the next time I see it.

What is a hijackthis log?
hijack is a program the has a log feature to show me your browser settings and what starts up with your computer

you can download it here

Another question for you... did you have an older palm before and upgrade to a tungston? did you have the older software on the computer still?

Sorry, I know this question is pretty old, would still apreciate if anyone could help. To answer the last question, I did not have an older palm. This is my first and only palm software installation.

That did it, sorry for the long delay. The Palm software's been pretty messed up on my PC. Think I'll have to wipe it and reinstall.
