Hello experts,

I am designing a Webform.aspx using Visual Basic.NET 2003.

I was just wondering if there is a way to insert a vertical line into the form. I would like to use a vertical line to separate the jpg images and sales items.

I am knowledgeable that the <hr> in the HTML code creates an horizontal line on the form, although I can not figure out the vertical.

If there is a way to perform this task. Would some please be able to advise me on how to. I would greatly appreciate it.

Have great day!! :)

The easiest way would be to add a CSS style to one of your table cells.

Something like this . . .

<table>
    <tr>
        <td><img src="blah.jpg"></td>
        <td style="border-left: solid 1px #000000;">Other content</td>
    </tr>
</table>

You could also create a small graphic 1px by 1px, and use something like this . . .

<img src="dot.gif" height="600" width="1" />

That will give you a 600 pixel tall vertical line.

In short, there is no vertical line tags, you have to invent them yourselves.

Good luck!

a background graphic of x pixels wide where x = width of table and 1 pixel deep, primarily your background colour with the middle pixel shaded the colour you want the line to be.

apply the background to the table repeating vertically and you will have a centre-line.
