Can't connect to internet

I have a weird problem. I have a dsl modem connected to a compaq pc running 95. The compac is connected to a hub.The hub has three pc's connected to it two running xp and working fine. The third one is running me. I can't connect to the internet from the one running me but I can ping the ISP's dns server and all devices on the lan and the devices on the lan can ping the pc running me. I loaded 3com network supervisor on one of the pc's running xp. It shows all the devices except the pc running me. I loaded the 3com network supervisor on the pc running me and it errors to a winsock either has not been installed or is installed incorectly. The adapter is set for dhcp. Where is winsock and do you think this is the problem?
Thanks

Your Winsock in the TCP/IP stack is corrupt.  Here is a wonderful guide that will show you how -

P.S. Make sure you follow the instructions to the "T".  Specifically in regards to the two seperate instances of Winsock and Winsock2.  Also make sure you have your 95 CD on hand prior to starting.

Instance one:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE_System_CurrentControlSet_Services
winsock
winsock2

Instance two:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE_System_CurrentControlSet_Services_VxD
Winsock
winsock2
