Hi,
Is there any open source tools that can convert PowerPoint (.ppt) into JPEG (or other image format like gif, bmp,png... or HTML page)?
Or is there a way I can do it using Java directly?

Thank you for reply.

I'm looking for open source if possible :)
While OpenOffice is too huge for user to install.

Another way could be, not so good, you can do it open PPT files in MS powerPoint using Runtime.getRuntime("cmd /c abc.ppt")
and then get screen shorts of the desktop in java

Thanks for the answer.

I can only use POI to convert PPT to text, however, since it is open source, I choose to accept this as my answer. Do you have any sample or links that has used POI to convert PPT to JPEG?
