What is the correct way to change an email account for a person who has changed their name but not their email address.  ie sandra@mycompany.co.uk. But the display name on otutgoing email and the surname on the internal address book is incorrect.
I have used the "Rename User" option in server management and also the "simple display name" on the "exchange advanced" tab but nothing seems to be getting updated at present.

Well... Can't believe there are millions/billions of living people currently utilising Microsoft Exchange/Outlook yet can't highlight on the correct procedure to change the displayed name.  During marriage, we have to change surnames quite often.

We also use another 3rd-party software (abolsutely free) which makes this whole process very simple, very fast and very easy to administer.  Maybe this is the way to take customers.

Any help anyone?

You just want to change their display name? That is done in the general tab of the users properties. Just make sure you hit apply, and then give it a couple of minutes to propogate... It has always worked for me.
