ODBCCR32.DLL dependency to MFC42.DLL?? Why not MFC71.DLL?

Hi everyone?

Got a question for ya: I´m wondering why my cursor library ( ODBCCR32.DLL ) is dependent upon MFC42.DLL and not MFC71.DLL, do I have the wrong version of ODBC-DLL´s?

As I don´t wanna distribute MFC42.DLL with my appz.... it´s enough DLL´s to keep track of anyway  : )

Both should be part of MS MDAC component. So when that component is installed it should work on the target PC. Or do you make any changes to those DLLs?

They work but I wonder how come the dependency to MFC42.dll...

I haven´t made any changes....

MDAC was developed with VC6 or equivalent. So they are linked to MFC42.dll.

So there isn´t any new MDAC that are linked to MFC71.dll ? Strange...

But knowledge builds up faster if a problem is solved by yourself. One has to find a good way to be fast and acquire knowledge as well.
