I would like to be able to put a number of files onto a web site eg.
Now I would like to be able to give a simple instruction to another user like 'type xxx*.* into your browser'  and this will then download ALL the files to the users PC.  Even those files that would normally be displayed in the browser (eg. jpg).
Is this possible?
If so what would one have to type?

Not going to happen that way.  You either have to have an FTP site for them to download from, or put all the files in a zip file and they can download that.
