Is that possible?   I inserted a HOVER bUTTON and wanted to make the link so it does what the BACK button does in IE.. I know there are ways to do this with javascript, but I do not know how to insert that into the code for the hover button.. Here is an example of the code..

<applet code="fphover.class" codebase="../" width="120" height="24">
  <param name="hovercolor" value="#0000FF">
  <param name="textcolor" value="#FFFFFF">
  <param name="text" value="Back To Catalog">
  <param name="effect" value="glow">
  <param name="url" valuetype="ref" value="THIS IS WHERE I WANT IT TO GO BACK to PREVIOUS PAGE">
  <param name="color" value="#000080">
</applet>

Any help would be great.... Thanks in advance!

In the url value insert:

javascript:history.go(-1)

This will take the user back one page and can be insert just as you might insert http://www.website.com

Okay - so that does not work. What version of FP are you using?

Here is a page containing some interesting tidbits about hover buttons and when and when not to use them.

http://www.abiglime.com/webmaster/articles/frontpage/070298.htm

Here is a page with detailed descriptions on how to create a button to do what you desire without using hover buttons.

http://www.at-frontpage.com/buttons.htm

If you are using FP2003 then just insert an Interactive Button and design it as you desire with hover effects. You can then link it to the history.go(-1) code I mentioned before.
