After applying SP4 to Windows 2000 Small Business, Exchange 2000 services will not load
I have a working production environment of Windows 2000 Small Business. This of course is bundled with Exchange 2000.
I want to apply SP4 to the server. However after doing so the Exchange services will not load. So I unload SP4 and Exchange 2000 works again.
In the System Event Viewer I get the following errors after loading SP4.
NNTPSVC Event ID 42
SCHANNEL Event ID 36871
W3SVC Event ID 101
SERVICE CONTROL MANAGER Event ID 7022
SERVICE CONTROL MANAGER Event ID 7001
SERVICE CONTROL MANAGER Event ID 7032
SERVICE CONTROL MANAGER Event ID 7000
Removing the SP4 patch clears the errors and Exchange loads normally.

Which SP for Windows are you going from?
The event IDs aren't a great deal of help, really need the entire text of the of event message if they are to be any use in diagnostics.
