How to login 2003 without a password

The engineer who administered a Windows 2003 server was fired. Now I am assigned to take over that server and I could not login as administrator because I don't know the password. I could not contact the previous engineer, he disappeared without a trace. We could reinstall 2003 but we don't want to do that because there are valuable data we want to keep. Anybody can give me a clue in this situation?

Hi,

Try this link on PeteLong's site..
http://www.petenetlive.com/Tech/Windows/WinGen/passwordrecovery.htm

So you don't have the domain admin password?? Or is this no domain?? Else, try logging in using the admin password or trying to chech the workstations if you are to crack the admin password there..
