how to create child domain

Hi, can anyone tells me how to create child domain?  I have create domain called CST.NYCCT.  Right now I want to create a child domain.  When Network Creadentials screen pop-up.  What user name, password and domain I should enter?  Do I need to do anything with my main domain?

Basically, you will have to run dcpromo on a new server to create it as a domain controller in a new domain.  You will have to use the Enterprise Admin accout to do this.  Here is only article I found.
