clear screen, please help

I used Windows API in my program to clear screen.
It works from telnet session using ANSI terminal. But when I executed the same program  using a vt220 emulation terminal, the user input will not be cleared.
Any help will be appreciated...

What are the escape you are using?
try ESC+[H+ESC+[J.
when escape is 27 dec or 33 octal.

Thanks for your reply.

I use console.writeLine("\033[H\033[J") in, but it prints the the exact string.
Any idea for that?
