Hi!
Im using Dev Express TdxBarManager for my main menu. My problem is that I cannot (dont know how to) insert menu break at runtime.
With TMainMenu its simple. You just put - as a caption for menu item and the line is drawn automaticaly. But with TdxBarManager this doesent work.
Can anybody help me?
Thx a lot.

How to add a separator between items in a toolbar
ArticleID: 1274; Product: ExpressBars; Version(s): 5, 4; Technology: VCL; Updated: 7/21/2004

Description

The standard TToolbar allows you to create a separator between items. How can I do this for the ExpressBars toolbar?

Solution

You should access the necessary Item Link or the BarItem and set its BeginGroup property value to True. This will allow you to insert a separator before this Item Link. You may use the same code if you need to insert a separator between the items placed on a dxBarSubItem or dxBarPopupMenu.

  <adxBarButton>.Links[0].BeginGroup := True;

In Customization mode this can be done via the "Begin a Group" item of a BarItem's popup menu. Just right-click a BarItem to invoke the menu. Another way is to drag the desired BarItem to the right/left or to the top/bottom a bit to create/remove a separator.
