Netware 6.5 licensing

I am running 6 servers in my netware tree, all running Netware 6.  We are about to install our first NW 6.5 server.  I received the software through my upgrade protection.  Will my netware 6 server licenses automatically "upgrade" to NW 6.5, or do i have to request new 6.5 server licenses in the same manner we get NW 6.0 server licenses?

Are you an MLA customer? Or are these X-number-of-user-licenses?

ShineOn, how does NetWare handle this? It seems to me that if he has an Upgrade license, all the users enabled under the v6.0 license should also now work under the v6.5 license.  I don't think he has to request anything, just make sure that he puts the v6.5 license in the tree above the v6.5 server object.

I dont know what MLA customer is.

We have 100 user licenses and unlimited server license under NW6.  So whenever i need a new server license for NW6, i just go to Novell's site, make a request and they send me an additional server license.  That is really what my question is, does anyone know if i go through that process again for 6.5 or will the server licenses in place upgrade if i upgrade the servers?  What about new servers?

If you don't know what "MLA" means, yer prolly not an MLA customer. :-) MLA = Master Licence Agreement

NetWare v6 is licensed per user seat. As long as a server - v6.0 or v6.5 - can find a license object in the NDS tree, you're fine. Just be sure to put the server licenses "higher" in the NDS tree than the server object (but not outside its search radius). Once you have ANY NetWare v6.5 license, you can add servers at will.
