Jpegs in Outlook Web Access

I am running  Exchange5.5 SP4 with Outlook Web Access. You can not open any jpg's or jpeg attachments through OWA. If you save the attachment to the desktop, it saves it as an ordinary .jpg or .jpeg file but any prorgam that tries to open it says it doesn't understand it. You just can't open them no matter what you do. You can open any Word or Excel file though with no problems. This is true for all my OWA users. Help?

Are your computers running W2k or maybe you've got Office 2000?  I've seen this before where you cannot open jpegs.  The program that is probably trying to open the jpegs is probably Microsoft Photo Editor.  One thing I've done is right click on the file and tell it to open with paint or another program that can open jpegs.  

If you're running Office 2000, upgrading to the latest service pack is supposed to take care of that.  If you're running AD there's a way you can do it with GP.  I can look into that more if you're interested.
