Java API to convert XML DTD to XML Schema

Is there an API in JAVA that takes in XML DTD and semantically maps (converts) it to equivalent XML Schema?
I need my Application to convert a file from DTD to XML Schema and then work with the produced XML Schema.
Please this is urgent.

Thanks

Hi dkamdar,

Look at the tools section here: http://www.w3.org/XML/Schema

Cheers!

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

hey orangehead911,

Your suggestion definitely helped but I am waiting for a better answer.
Beacuse the links you have provided are tools not APIs whom I can call directly from my applciaiton.

Be patient ;-)

Quoting from the blurb for dtd2xs-LuMriX

"dtd2xs v1.0 released (Joerg Rieger, Tue, Jun 19 2001). v1.60 last updated 20 June 2003.

DTD to XML Schema translator

Translate a Document Type Definition (DTD) into a XML Schema (REC-xmlschema-1-20010502). The translator can map meaningful DTD entities onto XML Schema constructs (simpleType, attributeGroup, group), i.e. the XML document model is not anonymized. In addition, the translator can map DTD comments onto XML Schema documentation nodes in various ways.

>>>> Freely available as Java class <<< and as standalone Java application: dtd2xs"
