When I insert an image from Paint Shop Pro 8 into Frontpage 2003, I can't get the image to keep its transparent background -- it turns white.

doesn't work when I cut and paste either.

Thank you,

Bob

Hi,

Did you try to click on the picture then go to View>Toolbars>Pictures,  then use the "Set transparent color" tool and click on the background?

Another suggestion is to open the picture in Photoshop and set the transparent background.

I created now a picture with background transparent in Photoshop and inserted it in Frontpage and it kept the transparent background.

File format is .gif

These image backgrounds do not allow me to successfully use the FrontPage transparency tool (unless it is adjustable, and I didn't see any adjustment fields)

I am using Paint Shop Pro 8, and I do not have Photoshop

Hi,

1- Open a new document in NotePad.
2- Copy this code and paste into NotePad.

<html>

<head>
<title>My Picture</title>
</head>

<body text="#C0C0C0" bgcolor="#C0C0C0">

<p><img border="0" src="PictureName.gif" width="131" height="131"></p>

</body>

</html>

3- Save the NotePad Document as MyPicture.htm on the desktop
4- Put the picture on the desktop
5- Change the picture name in the code
6- Save the document after changing the picture name
7- Open it in IE and see if the picture is transparent or not.

If the picture is transparent then the problem is in Frontpage,  otherwise the problem is in the picture background.

If you are in need for the picture now,  please post the page address,  I'll copy the picture and make it transparent for you.  Then we can talk about the problem.  At least we can solve your problem if you are in a hurry.
