Hi to all,

Product name: PC-based remote control software.
Hardware: PC running Windows XP professional and connected with a IrDA-USB bridge device.
Is it able to record the infrared string from the remote control? then what kind of technology i have to use for access the infrared string?

Anybody please give me an idea to how to start

Dear Gops,
you may need platform sdk, better see Instrumentation classes under MSDN, this will guide you the basic interaction with USB port/device

I think you don't have to deal with USB at all. It will emulate a standard Irda port. There are 2 basic ways to program an Irda port: using Windows sockets and directly as a serial port. That will depend on how communicates your remote devices.
