Resetting the CMOS battery on a laptop.

Greetings,

I have a Panasonic CF-47 Laptop, that has a BIOS password and a bootup password.  I don't know any of these passwords, and the person who previously owned the laptop does not remember them either.  So, what I need to know, is there a CMOS battery on this laptop, and if there is, where is it located.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If there is a CMOS battery it is definately located on the systemboard. Make sure, if you find it, to remove the battery at least 5 minutes.

Also, look for jumpers or solder beads to reset the CMOS.

Check if you can find the owners/service manual somewhere on the net. The users manual will be easy but the service manual will be a bit harder.

PS. Write down every step you take to dismantle your laptop. These laptops are fragile and hard to reassemble afterwards. + anti static!
