exporting xml to excel

hi
i m getting data from web service in xml format and want to save that data  in excel cell by cell as i need complete control on the cell ie which cell be bold the back ground color.save the excel file and send the user the url of the excel file so he can click and view it
ny suggestions
nothing seems to be worling

Also i dont want to do this by changing the content type.

you can use dataset to store your xml and then export to excel.
