How can you Script closing and opening outlook?

Does anyone have a script built that is added to the scheduled tasks as would close outlook and then reopen at a set time?  I want to close outlook so my backups will backup my .pst file at a set hour..any ideas???

You want to just open and close outlook both at a specific time right.. do you also want the script to do the backup work ??

If you want to start and close outlook then make sure what path your outlook.exe file is
look for the comments here

I need the ability to write a script maybe .vbs or bat that I can load on many computers that will close the appropriate outlook version.  My backup software will allow me to have pre backup scrits run and post backup scripts run...so i guess the best way is to use .bat or .vbs...not sure were to start though...
