Backup in windows 2000 server
Dear Experts,
I have a Windows 2000 server for file storage only, I installed a HP DAT drive for backup. I am using the windows 2000 backup, but when I tried to backup a certain folder with the different files inside the folder the log says Backup completed but when I tried to access the backup tapes, it only copies the folders but there is no files omside the folders. What could be the problem?

try specifically backing up one of the files in question.
Check that the backup tool has access to the files

NTBackup cannot handle open files, so if the files were in use at the time, they will not be backed up.
Either stop the application that keeps the files open or get a backup tool that will handle open files. Veritas BackupExec v9 with Advanced Open File Option is an excellent choice for windows servers.
