HI,

We have freezing and think it appears that at the point of time change on a windows machine , it seems to remove itself from the multicast streams. IGMP then does its re-read and in turn halts all multicast on the switch for this very brief period of time. Is this possible that IGMP does this and how would you suggest we configure it othewise.

Thanks

Probably nothing so exotic... Are you using Media Player 9?

If so try a different media player on one of the machines that is freezing.

Good luck!

IIts an application on a LAN that is receiving time sensitive data via multicast. One machine in the multicast group has a time change which then bumps off the subscription, however this affects all the other 10 machines on the same network because they lose connectivity for 30 seconds to to the application meaning that the Heartbeats did not come through for a little while via multicast.
