viewing desktop on multiple monitors

Hello,

I have a laptop docked in my docking station and that is connected to a monitor.MY machine
has win2k professional and now i want to extend my desktop to the laptop from
my monitor.I want to know if this is possible if possible can you guys help me in achieving this.

Should be easy - open the display properties control panel and amongst the tabs should be an option to extend the desktop onto another monitor.  You might have to go into the Advanced properties and the custom tabs on your video card.

I can't find extend the desktop option to do that.I am not sure what you mean by custom tabs.

I can find two monitors i can enable both of them but it's not extending it's just showing the same thiink on both the monitors

Your graphics card - is it an ATI or Nvidia card (who makes the notebook?).  (Sorry - I don't have my 2K systems running right now and only have my XP system up - otherwise, I'd walk you through it exactly)

My display adapter in deveice manager.
My display card is ATI RAGE MOBILITY-M AGP(English) It's an HP- Notebook.
