Streaming Music

Hi Guys,
I have a part time job at a radio station
and I would like to know the procedure
to have music available on the website. I believe
it's called 'streaming'. What is the procedure in
setting up something like that. Thanks All

if You want a Open Source solution, You can use Linux + Icecast (http://www.icecast.org).

You may want to hire a streaming providor since the bandwidth requirments for many listeners could easily outstrip your Internet connection.  You then encode with something like Windows Media Encoder (WME) and send the stream to them for distribution.  Two companies that I have been aware of doing this in the past are Lightning Cast and Liquid Compass.
