Redirecting MAPI messages.

Hi,

I am developing an exchange server side application to examine message content. In order to accomplish this without adding software on production exchange servers, I am looking to redirect MAPI messages from outlook clients to flow through another exchange server where I install my server-side application extensions. My box would behave very much like a Front End Server or Bridgehead Server. This is in a pure Exchange 2003 environment.

From what I can tell, the Outlook gets its profile from Active Directory, which always sends MAPI calls to the final Message Store. Is there a way to send it to another flow-through box, before it reaches the final message store.

I can do this very easily in SMTP environment, using DNS MX Records redirection.

Thanks.

Consider using Exchange Store event sink to avoid the problem. You can not redirect internal Exchange messages, as far as I know.
