file server compress old files
Running out of disk space on a windows 2000 server box. Does anyone see any problems in using disk clean up to compress old files not used in years. I can save almost 9 gigs of hard drive space. I just wanted to make sure that I would not have problems later on by doing this.

No problems before no.
DMS-X,
If you can free up that much of space then go ahead..

Its not that I have never used this before its just I have never done it on a file server that 70 people depend on every single day. Just wanted to make sure that there is no potential problems by doing this.
