POSTFIX and external access to pop3

I have many problem with my e-mail server problem.
I try to installa a new debian sarge with postfix as e-mail server.
it work but only if i use a ssl/tls connection.
if i try to use pop3 o imap connection without ssl/tls autentication it does'nt work.
When i try to access it answer "Connection refuse from the server".
Can you help me ??

What does your logs say ?
What does your configs look like?

Strip the logs and the configs of nessescary info.
BUT start with the logoutput first.
What POP+IMAP daemon/s are you using ?

Please provide us with some more info.

I manage 3 distinct domain on my server
the domain directory is in /home/domainnane.ext/
and the structure is :
/home/domainnane.ext/
/home/domainnane.ext/cgi-bin/ cgi-bin directory
/home/domainnane.ext/home/ user homes
/home/domainnane.ext/public_html/ www home
/home/domainnane.ext/logs/ logs directory
/home/domainnane.ext/

To manage the domain i use webmin with virtualmin module.

Do you need antithing else ?

How is your mailsystem built?
Postfix + Courier-IMAP + MySQL + Apache ...
or in another way?
what does your IMAP config look like and is "PLAIN" the correct way to auth on your server?

What does your SASL lines in main.cf look like ?
Think they are the problem for the auth?
