What is a Visual Basic Form Stash File .FRX ?

Hi,

As part of an assignment for uni I need to explain the purpose of several file extensions in Visual Basic.  I have done all of them apart from one.

The one I am having problems with is the extension .FRX.  I have found out that it is a Visual Basic Form Stash File but I have no idea what it does.  I have looked at several books and searched on the internet, but with no luck.

If anyone can tell me what the purpose of this particular type of file is, it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

John.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

frx is a binary resource file.  If you have pictures, icons or other such resources on your form, they will be stored in a binary format.  This is a VB6 and earlier file format as far as I know... resx is the VB.NET version of the same thing.
