how to convert it to HTML string

hi,

that's what is displayed on my page:

<b>Product Brief</b><br>Single-user 8-port with new OSCAR GUI and multi-language support!<br><br><b>Features</b> <br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;Controls up to 128 computers from one console <br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;Multi-Language Support Innovative locking cab

it seems that my <html> tag is not parsed by browser. who can tell me how to convert it to HTML format, rather than this ugly text string

cheers

Hi viola123,

how odd, is this output produced by php or another server-side language?

nice to see your quick reply, zyloch

this product descript is stored in SQL server and i am trying to display it using xslt:
<tr><td><xsl:value-of select="pt_detdesc" /></td></tr>

the value of pt_detdesc in SQL server is:
<b>Product Brief</b><br>Single-user 8-port with new OSCAR GUI and multi-language support!<br><br><b>Features</b> <br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;Controls up to 128 computers from one console <br>&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;Multi-Language Support Innovative locking cab

as u know, i certainly does not want to display it with these ugly html tag. it is supposed to be shown in html format. i rember there should be a way to convert the text to html.but cannot recall it exactly...

cheers

Ah, I see. Try this:

<xsl:value-of select="pt_detdesc" disable-output-escaping="yes" />
