javascript dropdown menu hide behind textbox and labels on asp.net pages

hi everybody ,

dear friends i am working on an application where i have used dropdown menus of javascript for navigation.
this script is executed from a user control called in header of page.

now the problem is that when ever there is a textbox or label on my asp.net pages, this dynamic dropdown menu of javascript hides behind textboxes and label ( only the overlapping part).

seems as if it has gone to previous layer and priority of page is for static contents (i:e textboxes and labels).

i have included a sample code of one of my files.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
<%@ Register TagPrefix="Softsolv" TagName="menuControl" Src="../UserControls/menuControl.ascx" %>
<%@ Register TagPrefix="Softsolv" TagName="footer" Src="../UserControls/FooterControl.ascx" %>
<%@ Register TagPrefix="softsolv" TagName="Header" Src="../UserControls/HeaderControl.ascx" %>
<%@ Page Language="vb" AutoEventWireup="false" Codebehind="PasswordAuditTrail.aspx.vb" Inherits="QAInterface.PasswordAuditTrail" %>
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<HTML>
      <HEAD>
            <title>PasswordAuditTrail</title>
            <LINK href="Common/Css/style.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet">
            <softsolv:menucontrol id="menu" runat="server"></softsolv:menucontrol>
      </HEAD>
      <body MS_POSITIONING="GridLayout">
            <form id="Form1" method="post" runat="server">
                  <softsolv:header id="Header1" runat="server"></softsolv:header>
                  <asp:Label id="Label1" style="Z-INDEX: 102; LEFT: 312px; POSITION: absolute; TOP: 120px" runat="server"
                        Height="8px" Font-Bold="True">PasswordAuditTrail</asp:Label>
                              <SOFTSOLV:FOOTER id="footer" runat="server"></SOFTSOLV:FOOTER>
                              </form>
</body>
</html>
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the <softsolv:menucontrol id="menu" runat="server"></softsolv:menucontrol> control simply calls those javascript functions.

i also thought that it may be coz menus are called first and then other objects so i thought to only include javascript function in first user control in <head></head> of page  and gave actual call to that javascript func from footer user control then it says object required.

please if the situation s not clear ak me i'll give more explaination but dont let this intresting question gone unanswered .

thanks to you all in advance

hi friend s,

i am surprized that why no bady came itha ny comments to my question.

but i was quite lucky that i got a solution myself.

so if you also want to know then , all we have to do is that

we have to remove that "z-index " value from style untill and unless it is necessary .

this "z-index" is used to bring the object to upper/front layers of display i:e object with higher value of z-index will come above other objects at same place with lower z-index value.

kind regards
