Hi cayi,

To both of them: Yes depending on the kind of spyware.
The most important that can and will capture this information are keyloggers, they're made for just one thing, capturing every key you press. Most of the time these are bot's placed on your computer by a person with malicious intentions through a vulnerability in windows or IE.
A lot of sites are specially made for installing ad/spyware on computers, most are harmless like tracking cookies, some are annoying like giving you "targetted" popups, and some are plain dangerous like the keyloggers I just noted.

Greetings,

cayi,

I'd better give you the official link to the ad/spyware removal instructions at http:Q_20975384.html
If you look at http:Q_20975384.html#10973785 you will find KL-detector which is a tool specifically written to detect key loggers.
