i want to know in which case routers need  NFS and NIS services to be enabled on it? i am talking about a redhat linux 8.0 computer which is made router by setting /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
 as 1.

    If the clients only need internet access the router doesnt need (and shouldnt have)  NFS or NIS services running.

                          No i want to know in general the routers exsiting in INTERNET have these services generally enabled?
