Run Time Error 2147467259 (800040005) when using CopyFromRecordset to export to Excel
This is the first time I am asking a question so I am not sure of the protocol.
The question is this: I am using CopyFromRecordset to export a query to an excel file. I am using an excel template to define the columns and formatting. The query is exported when the user clicks a button. Everything works beautifully on my PC, the memo fields are not truncated, the columns are placed under the correct headings, etc. However, when other users attempt to export the query they receive a Run time error - 2147467259 (800040005) Method 'CopyFromRecordset' of object 'Range' failed. I am assuming that this is more a problem with the other users PCs but am not sure where to start checking. I checked the references on one other person's PC and they matched mine. Is there somewhere I can start checking for differences? Is there something I can bring to our Systems section for them to check?

How can I check to see which version of DAO is being used? In References, we are both using Microsoft DAO 3.6 object library.

Thanks. I work in an 'interesting' environment. No one is allowed to download anything from the internet. I will pass this on to our Systems section and have them check on it.
Thanks again.
