If it's configured as a RAID, then you'll need to install software that can Query the RAID card. If it's just a disk that's not in a RAID of any type, you should be able to get that info by running winmsd (msinfo32).

you could go into the scsi controller bios (usually control+A) after your bios splash screen, you should be able to tell here...it will require a reboot, but you wouldn't have to install any software if you didn't want to....most of the time it's preferable to have the management application installed though, this way you can do things without rebooting.
