I have a single windows 2003 server and it is configured as a domain controller. I get errors in the event log related to w32time and the error is:
  msg_time_source_none

It sounds as if this server is trying to synch it's timee with some other service but I'm not sure how to configure this. Actually, I'm not even sure that I need this.

Thanks

if its your only dc, dont bother about it.
this service is for time syncronization in a domain.
your clients get their time from your dc with this service.
if you want, and have a internet connection, you can set a external time source with "net time /setsntp:time.microsoft.com"
