I have a single windows 2003 server and it is configured as a domain controller. I get errors in the event log related to w32time and the error is:

It sounds as if this server is trying to synch it's timee with some other service but I'm not sure how to configure this. Actually, I'm not even sure that I need this.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

if its your only dc, dont bother about it.
this service is for time syncronization in a domain.
your clients get their time from your dc with this service.
if you want, and have a internet connection, you can set a external time source with "net time /"
