How to pass a variable from ASP to Perl

My asp produces an error if object cannot be found in a database.
This error need to be passed to a Perl script that produces
a Warning window.

I'm thinking to use the following:

if (condition) then
     response.redirect "(myperl.pl?'objectisnotfound'")

What should I do within the perl script to get this value?

If you use the CGI.pm module (standard module) you can parse out your list of arguments using the param() function.

so something like:

use CGI;

my $q = new CGI;
print $q->header('text/html');
if ( $q->param() && ($q->param('keywords') eq 'objectnotfound') ) {
     print $q->start_html("Object not found"),
            $q->h1("Object not found error.");
} else {
     print $q->start_html("Parameter error"),
             $q->h1("The parameter you passed was not recognized.");

print $q->end_html;
