I am following a tutorial on winprog.org and am having a problem compiling some of the example programs. the error i get is:
fatal error RC1015: cannot open include file 'winres.h'.
I am using Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition Beta and have installed Microsoft Platform SDK for Windows XP SP2. Could someone explain what i need to do to get this file.
Thank you

As far as I know Visual C++ 2005 ***Express*** has a limited Windows libraries support.
If you are a MSDN subscriber, download full Visual C++ 2005 or request a CD at:

Thanks for your reply
Unfortunately i am not a msdn sunscriber so cannot download the full version
However my searches have lead me to believe that winres.h is an important include file for many applications so i should somehow be able to get it.
