"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hardware-ly, as far as I know, it is almost can't be done.  Powerbook has video out, but no video in, unless you want analog video in.

But using software, you can do it via ethernet or wirelessly.  You can use :
- Apple Remote Desktop from your powerbook to remote your G3 desktop.

- VNC viewer on your powerbook to remote your G3 desktop (equipped with VNC server).  VNC available as freeware.
you can download VNC server @ http://www.redstonesoftware.com/vnc.html
recommended VNC viewer : Chicken of the VNC : http://sourceforge.net/projects/cotvnc/

Good luck.
