I am looking for a solution to be able to operate a shopping cart on my website, which when peolple order bits and checkout the details are sent by email to me (including c.card number) to allow offline processing, once physical stock has been checked to enable order fulfillment. At the moment i haven't started the site but my host offers shared ssl and is run on linux. The cart needs to handle 300-500 lines and allow for dual currency pricing (gbp & euro). The cheaper the cart software, the better.
I use dreamweaver mx to make my sites so needs to be compatable for building the site. ideally i want the whole lot hosted on my webspace rather than using one of these third party carts that you just link to an account setup on their servers, or the various paypal type carts etc.

All help appreciated. please ask if any other details required.

osCommerce (www.oscommerce.com) is an excellent open source solution that uses PHP/MySQL (which should be included with your Linux hosting).

From the website: "osCommerce is an online shop e-commerce solution under on going development by the open source community. Its feature packed out-of-the-box installation allows store owners to setup, run, and maintain their online stores with minimum effort and with absolutely no costs or license fees involved."
