Internet explorer not displaying XML error line

Recently my internet explorer (ver 6.0.2800) was updated with a new patch and after the updating I noticef that the browser does not report the erroneous XML file anymore. Before the update, the browser will report which line and position the error (from the erroneous XML file) is from.

Anybody out there know how to resolve this without installing additional third party software. Thanks in advance
