How to get bit value of JPEG file?

Hi all.

Can you tell me how to get bit value of JPEG file? All I know is to get bit value from bitmap file.
I need it to make a steganography code.

You could deal with the image as a bitmap, importing it and exporting it as a jpg. Of course, it's a lossy algorithm so if you're just watermarking it's probably OK but if it has to be lossless, it depends whether you need to maintain the hidden data within the jpg or withion its expanded image. Which of the latter is the case?
